Technology
Technology is neither inherently Coherent nor Incoherent. Its effect on human systems depends entirely on the quality of intention and design brought to its development.
Artificial intelligenceHuman-technology integrationDigital systems and societyDesign and intentionThe future of intelligence
Technology is the most powerful amplifier of human intention that has ever existed. It does not create values, it magnifies them. A coherent human system, one in which values, intentions, and actions are aligned, will use technology to extend its Coherence. An incoherent system will use technology to extend its Incoherence.
Artificial intelligence presents this dynamic in its most acute form. AI systems are trained on human-generated data, appearing to mirror knowledge, creativity, and even many behaviors; which means they inherit both the Coherence and the Incoherence of the systems and the environment from which they were produced and created. The question of how to develop AI that supports rather than undermines human Coherence is one of the defining challenges of our time.
This domain explores the relationship between technology and Coherence, examining how digital systems can be designed to support human flourishing, and what conditions are necessary for technology to serve as an amplifier of Coherence rather than a driver of fragmentation.
Technology and artificial intelligence are often experienced as accelerators of noise and fragmentation. Yet, through Coherence Alignment, technology transforms from a source of overwhelm into a deeply attuned amplifier. It opens new pathways for relating consciously with AI, with one another, and with the wider web of life.

The question is never whether to use technology, it is whether the human system directing that technology is coherent enough to use it wisely.
